Strawberry nails are the fruity mani we're crushing on

We're only mid-way through August and while some of us are looking ahead to autumn, one nail trend drenched in late summer vibes are the strawberry nails that are currently taking off. It's fruity, juicy, adorable and exactly the reset we need to enjoy the second wave of hot weather while we can.

For the uninitiated, the trend is a spin-off of the overarching "strawberry girl" aesthetic that's currently going stratospheric with over 17 million views on TikTok, thanks, in part, to a little help from Hailey Bieber who took to Instagram to declare this season “strawberry girl summer”.

Since then, the model has leaned further into the strawberry trend, following up with another carousel of pictures – the first featuring Hailey in a strawberry red crochet bucket hat with “strawberry girl” makeup (flushed cheeks, glossy strawberry lips) and a strawberry upgrade to her signature glazed mani. Her ring and middle finger were decorated with teensy tiny strawbs on top of a pale pink chrome base.

But even before that, strawberry nails have been steadily cropping up in our Insta feed with some of the cutest mani inspo for summer and even early autumn. We've seen adorable strawberry Frenchies in pink and red hues. We've seen single signature nails decorated with a strawberry decal. We've seen picnic blanket inspired strawberry manis with cute criss cross patterns and we've even seen strawberry-shaped nails (a remix of the almond shape) with green leaf cuff details.
